With the holiday season on its way, the Backpacks 101 Project has a little giving to do! Thanks to Community Trust for donating 50 fleece blankets to inspire our new project!. We would also like to thank two families with a combined 8 children who kindly donated their teddy bears to have a new life with another child this winter. Thanks goes out to Noemie, Kaya, Sophie, Caleb, Alice, Zachary, Sarah and Jack who have shared their cuddly creatures.
We have delivered 16 blankets with Teddies in a Roots bag to Women's Habitat and will be delivering the remaining blankets before the holidays. We'll keep you posted on where they go.
We are still looking for adult gloves to donate with the blankets to the homeless in Toronto. Please send me an email if you would like to make a contribution at info@backpacks101.org.
